promotion

the last book that concludes my working life in jointpublishing is launched! the author stella is actually one of my favourite local artists of this generation. I especially like her full of ethnographic value type of works. i still remember some years ago when i went to a school of design's graduation show, i was so very impressed by the animation - very fantastic- she made, it was just sooooo brilliant. of course back then, i didn't imagine one day i would know her n even to work with her. in real person, she's an extremely interesting gal, talking to her is lots of fun, the term 'low siu lui' is actually her invention, but i kept using. i like visiting her 'low siu lui gay they' to have meeting, many times we just chatted about nonsense n procrastinate, forgetting our alredy urgent deadline. she has a large collection of comics, cartoon related, art booooooks! even though sometimes working with her is a bit difficult if i am taking it seriously, i still look forward for further chances to cooperate with her.
going back to this book, it is in fact a making of of the 100% hand-drawn, prize-winning animation - very fantastic. it reveals lots of valuable sketches, researches and plannings that u won't have other chances to see elsezhere. her animation tells a sad story of a gal, zho meanders through a weird building, in which it has an strange interior that looks like a collage of many other old builidings. it touches upon the idea of changes n the lost old gd times. for me, stella's attention n care for our surroundings is what makes her works beautiful. i dunno how the book evetually turns out, but i put a lot of effort in it, the amount of selection n editing is the most among all the others, its direction n structure change along the process n turn out to be something so different. in fact, again, Anne leads me through all these n she odes to gain all the credit. i am still waiting eagerly now for its arrival, will check my mail box everyday, so go buy la u guys dun have to wait, envy!

plus! this book is sold with a full version of the animation, the animation is so crazy, must watch!
